10 Years Of Business For The Somaliland: Horn Cable Television Calls For Celebration
The Horn Cable Television employees gather for a special celebration. Today marks the 10th year that the company has been providing its services to the local public. This ceremony was held today at the Mansour Hotel where the guest of honor was Horn Cable’s own president Ahmed Mohamed Mahmoud. The ceremony was well attended and marked the 10th year, since the company opened its doors to the Somaliland public.
President Ahmed prepared a speech for the event in which he commented on how proud he was of the company and its employees. He also stated how much he admired the founder for the courage he had to open the business.
The founder Hon Farhan Haji Ali, who also attended the event recapped to all in attendance why he decided to open the station. He stated that he wanted to bring unbiased media outlets to the citizens of the country, which was a very rare thing 10 years ago. Ali also went on to say how difficult a task this was to pull off and that there were a lot of risks involved. In the end, he wanted to report what was really going on to the citizens of his country.
The founder also said that with this company in place viewers now have 24-hour access to broadcasts, which will not only inform them about everything that is going in Somaliland, but throughout the world. Viewers have access to everything from news broadcast, to soap operas, documentaries, and even sports. This significant event had over 12,000 guests who varied in terms of background.
